PDU is Prattville Downtown Unlimited, a group of business people and individuals who work together in conjunction with the City of Prattville, Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce and other organizations interested in the revitalization and preservation of the Prattville Historic District, to keep it a vibrant and vital part of our city.
The organization helped buy new Christmas decorations for the downtown area, worked with the Autauga County Heritage Association to get the Daniel Pratt Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and supported the Prattville Main Street Program.
In recent years, the organization has supported such projects as providing banners for the lamp posts; the purchase of attractive trash containers for Main Street; picnic tables and benches for the Creekwalk along Autauga Creek; garden urns to enhance areas throughout the downtown; and the placement of a bench and fountain in the new Creekwalk Garden.
